Sci-Fi Mystery · Difficulty 3/5
Signal from Deep Hab
“Habitat Four stopped answering nine days ago. Yesterday, it started answering in your voice.”
You are Tharsis Station's comms officer, the person who keeps eleven habitats talking. Deep Hab Four — the ocean miner under Europa's ice — went silent nine days ago. Official story: reactor fault. Then a signal arrives in the old rescue band, carrying audio of your own voice reading coordinates no map includes. The station director wants it buried; the habitat's last transmission wanted it forwarded. Somebody on Tharsis is lying, the ice is more than ice, and you have until the next relay window to decide who to trust.
